Reasons to downgrade to Vista x64

on Friday, November 13, 2009

  • I have a TV Tuner from Prolink and they didn't provide a driver for Windows 7. Email them, no answer/driver. Check on the web, my TV Tuner not even listed. :(
  • I don't need DirectX 11 yet (i did get DX11 on Vista before)
  • After upgrade, some of my program need to be reinstall (better fresh installation than upgrade)
  • My codec seems to have a bug after upgrade. Playing video (other than FLV) will have some glitch.
  • I don't see any difference in speed on Windows 7. Maybe my computer is good enough for Vista/7 that I can't see a difference.
  • Daemon Tools not working even though it shows in the web "Full Windows 7 support"
  • Some of my program still can't be use with Windows 7. No update in their web to support Windows 7
IF on the last week of december, and I didn't have any driver for my TV Tuner, I will revert back to windows vista. haih~
